Today, we kicked off a $100 million dream project, the Lagos Film City in Ejinrin, Epe, where we laid the foundation for this hub of creativity, entertainment, and learning right here in Lagos.
This project is in partnership with private investors led by the Del-York Group and the one-stop campus will support film production, post-production, visual effects and other ancillary services that support the filmmaking process.
These are exciting times for our local talent and those that joined us today for the groundbreaking ceremony included Nollywood legends, diplomats, and traditional rulers.
Together, we’re launching a world-class infrastructural hub that will tap into the global entertainment market. This project is a testament to our commitment to nurturing the arts and supporting the dreams of aspiring filmmakers, actors, and technicians.
The Lagos Film City will be a game-changer as it ensures that there will be no need to take creative content abroad; everything needed for globally accepted cinema production will be right here.
Let’s empower our creative community and shine on the global stage.
