The main oil tanker in Conakry caught fire during the night from Sunday to Monday around midnight, causing a provisional death toll of 13, Guinean media announced.
The Minister of Health and Public Hygiene assured the press that the situation is already under control. He specified that this Monday morning that 178 people were taken care of. On which 89 or 50% went back to their families before 6am.
Our colleagues from the newspaper “Vision Guinée” reported the proposals of the Minister of Health in these terms: “the government, from the first hours of the fire, triggered an emergency plan and set up a crisis committee, coordinated by the Minister of State responsible for security and civil protection. And to indicate that Dr Oumar Diouhé Bah affirmed that the affected population and the lightly injured received treatment on site thanks to the teams deployed for this purpose.
