On Tuesday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu hosted a meeting with United States Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Blinken had arrived in Nigeria earlier that evening as part of his African tour, which includes four nations.
He was warmly received by top government officials, including Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris, and Minister of Solid Minerals Development Dele Alake.
Following the bilateral meeting, Blinken is scheduled to hold a joint press conference with Minister of Foreign Affairs Yusuf Tuggar before departing for Lagos later in the evening.
In Lagos, he will engage with the business community on Wednesday.
